Bite into these yummy morsels and get more than your usual sugar kick!
With food prices on the increase do you find your hand wavering between products on the supermarket shelf? Do you find that although you consciously want to eat organic good quality food your head is telling you the product is too expensive?
Try knocking together these homemade delicious flapjacks together instead. They contain no nasties, no fat, no butter or sugar and are guaranteed to keep you going longer than the Duracell bunny!
I recently made a batch up and took them along to the EFT course I was running and they were devoured in minutes which is all the feedback you need.
This recipe takes less than 10 minutes to whizz up and makes approximately 9 large squares…perfect for those lunch boxes or even for breakfast if you need something on the run. If you like your flap jacks with a bit more ‘crunch’ then don’t whizz up all the ingredients. This is my personal favourite, but you can mix up anything from dates, figs, nuts or other dried fruit.
In a blender whizz up;
A small handful of apricots, cranberries
A large handful of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
A large sprinkle of poppy seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds, chia seeds, ground almonds
A cup and a half full of organic rolled oats
Two big table spoons of organic peanut butter or almond butter
A big squeeze of agave nectar
Spoon onto a foil tray and bake in the over for 15 – 20 minutes at gas mark 180.
